Mr. John Shannon is the owner and principal consultant at X-Team Inc, a firm he founded in 2008 after 20 years of Executive experience in Alcoa, Tenneco Packaging, and Mobil Packaging. X-Team specializes in improving performance and growth in mid-size firms through an emphasis on systemic thinking and leader and people development.

Mr. Shannon is a P&L Leader with extensive experience across the supply chain. He left Alcoa after service as a President and GM and as an Executive OpEx consultant. Prior to that, he served as a Managing Director, a multisite Location Manager, and as a Plant Manager; all with P&L responsibility. In both Tenneco and Mobil he served in senior Logistics roles, managing Sale and Operations planning for over $1 billion in revenue while serving in a matrix as Logistics manager for six business units.

In his tenure in the Fortune 500 world, Mr. Shannon led six significant turnarounds as a line leader and as a consultant. As part of those, he led the deployment of Lean and 6 Sigma in several businesses, and was deeply in due diligence, acquisition and post-acquisition integration of four businesses.

Mr. Shannon is a veteran of the US Navy and holds a BS Chemistry from Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA in Operations from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MS in Applied Behavioral Science - Leadership from Antioch University of Seattle.
